This tour combines a scenic fjord cruise through the Arctic coastal landscape, a guided visit to the historic fishing village of Nyksund, exciting wildlife encounters, and a locally inspired three-course dinner.

Together with experienced guides from Vesterålen Tours, guests will discover the unique nature that has made Vesterålen one of Norway’s premier destinations for wildlife and nature experiences. Along the way, we keep watch for sea eagles, otters, moose, seabirds, and other species that thrive in the Arctic coastal and fjord environments. Our guides share fascinating insights into the animals’ habitats and behaviour, as well as the relationship between nature, people, and coastal culture.

In Nyksund, you will visit one of Northern Norway’s most distinctive fishing villages, where historic buildings, vibrant coastal culture, and spectacular scenery create a truly unique atmosphere. Guests will learn about the history of this once-abandoned fishing community, which has since become a symbol of renewal and Arctic tourism.

The day concludes with a locally inspired three-course dinner featuring seasonal ingredients and flavours from both the sea and the land.
